I am trying to do an outline for my research proposal for the cause of human trafficking. What is acceptable information to use in my literature review? I was thinking about talking about the different kinds of forms of human trafficking but I don't know what else to include in the literature review.

It sounds to me as though you may be taking on too broad a subject. You might be able to write a much more effective report if you limited your research to one form of human trafficking. This would also make your review of the literature much easier to handle. Otherwise you might get so involved in identifying the different forms of human trafficking that you wouldn't be able to discuss any one of them in significant depth. You probably have an interest in one particular form of human trafficking, and you might learn more and contribute more by limiting your topic to that problem.
