Given the other questions you guys are asking, it should be pretty clear what happened to Paul.  After all, there are two questions asking us to respond to Paul's death.

So, at the end of the book, Paul dies.  He is killed on a day where just about nothing else happened in the whole war, or at least in their part of it.  It was so quiet of a day that the report for the whole army simply read "All quiet on the Western Front."

We do not know how it was that Paul died.  Most of the book is written from his perspective.  But the last little bit is written from a different perspective and simply tells us Paul was killed.

At the beginning of Chapter 12, Paul has been sent to a hospital to rest because he has swallowed a bit of poison gas.  While at rest, Paul reflects on the end of the war which he believes is soon coming.  But even though the war is coming to an end, he realizes that so much has already been lost and the end of the war does not really make a difference.  He is the last of his school mates left in the company, and he has become utterly hopeless about his own future.
