If AC is 50 feet, and AB is 40 feet, which is the length of BC? There is a picture of a triangle, and there is one right angle in the triangle. Please help!

According to the data given at point B we have the 90 degree angle in ABC triangle.

Using Pythagoras theorem;

`AC^2 = AB^2+BC^2`

`50^2 = 40^2+BC^2`

`BC^2 = 50^2-40^2`

`BC^2 = (50+40)(50-40)`

`BC^2 = 90*10`

`BC^2 = 900`

`BC = sqrt900`

`BC = 30`

So the length of BC is 30ft.
