2x + 5y = 17

-5x - 7y = -10

= 10x + 25y = 85

   -10x - 14y = -20

= 11y = 65

= y = 65/11

2x + 5(65/11) = 17

= 2x + 325/11 = 17

= 2x = -138/11

= x = -138/22

= x = -69/11
