Suicide is the act or process of killing ones self.  It is reported by the World Health Organization as the thirteenth leading cause of death world-wide.  More males than females commit suicide.  Suicide is generally considered an offense towards God by most religious circles, as it is a violation of the sanctity of life.  This particular scenario you are describing seems to have what would be considered a higher than normal incidence of suicide.  The fact that it is occuring after a new pastor took office may or may not be a deciding factor.  An investigation probably would be the best thing to do, to determine what underlying motivators exist.  The motivation to take ones life has always been a source of interest to science, both for humans and the animal world at-large, to help scientists become better equipped in dealing with the phenomenon.
