The numbers given to us are 1,5,16,13,13,2,16.

Their sum is 1 +5 + 16 + 13 + 13 + 2  + 16 = 66.

The sum divide by the total number of terms is the mean. This is 66/7.

The median is the term that occurs in the middle of the set if they are arranged in ascending or descending order.

1,5,16,13,13,2,16

=> 1 , 2 , 5, 13, 13 , 16 , 16.

Therefore we see that 13 is the term in the middle.

The required mean is 66/7 and the median is 13.

Given the data:

1, 5, 16, 13, 13, 2 16

First we will rearrange from small numbers to large numbers.

==> 1, 2, 5, 13,13,16,16

Now we will calculate the mean.

==> mean = (1+ 2 + 5 + 13 + 13 + 16 + 16) / 7

==> mean = 66/7 = 9.43 ( approx.)

Now we need to find the median.

The median is the values that is in between the set of numbers.

We have 7 numbers, then the median weill be the 4th number.

==> The median = 13

the mode is 13 and 16 because they both appear the most and at the same amount.

To find the mean add all the numbers together, then divide by how many there are in the set.

 1+2+5+13+13+16+16=66 /7 = 13
