I think Jane is the woman's sister-in-law. Or maybe the author made a mistake and used "Jane" instead of "Jennie" for the maid. Posted by linda-allen on May 14, 2008. |

I'll have to go back and re-read the story. I thought Jane was the narrator, but after reading the eNotes commentary, the narrator is apparently unnamed. Hmmm.... Posted by kwoo1213 on May 14, 2008. |
