I would say that Yale leans towards the left. Most people on campus are probably democrats. However, the professors are open to different views as well as the student body. One of the great things about places, like Yale, is that diversity of beliefs is prized. Also there are a number of foreign students, which makes for even more diverse views. The same statements go for religious beliefs as well.

The campus life is great. Yale is built on the college system and so you get to know your college very well. Also there are tons of things to do. There are sports clubs, music clubs and almost anything that you can think of. And if they do not have what you would like to do, then you can create your own. The sky is the limit.
As for the food, it is great. I like it very much. Also there are a number of good places to eat. New Haven has the...

I've lived around Yale for a few years and I think it is getting better. I had friends that went to Yale in the 90s and they would not venture off campus too much, but it is getting safer to some degree. I would say that the immediate areas are safe, but I would not venture off too much further.
Proof of growing development is everywhere. They are building a lot more in the area and luxury condo have come in as well as a new cancer center and...

Great questions.
1. Classes range, like in other colleges. Some classes are large with over 100 people and other classes are smaller with less than 20 people. So, it really depends on what class you are talking about. In terms of academic difficulty, I would say it is challenging for the most part. But if you do the work, you should do well. There is always help available, such as writing centers and graduate students.
2. The professors are...

The recreational life at Yale is amazing. Yale has one of the largest gyms in America, if not the world. You will have access to almost any sport. Their intramural sports leagues are great as well. I cycled once in a while with the team and they were all great and friendly. I even went out to a few wrestling practices. There will be more than you can imagine. Also, there are tons of clubs. One of the things that is very popular is sing groups....

I would say that almost all of Yale's department are incredible, but their history department always ranks number 1. The classes are always great and the professors are incredible. Yale's english department always ranks very high. With that said, you really cannot go wrong in any department. Another thing that might help is to note that in some of the smaller department, you can get amazing personal attention. It really does feel that you are...
