Punotsihyo

Punotsihyo America
According to the Blackfeet of Montana, the earth belongs to Punotsihyo, ‘the ground man’. He is highly respected and receives many sacrifices. Aisoyimstan, ‘cold maker’, freezes the earth or blankets it with snow. He is portrayed as a man, white in colour, with white hair, and dressed in white clothes, who rides a white horse.
