Hai-uri

Hai-uri Africa
A monster greatly feared by the Hottentots. One-legged, one-armed, one-sided, and semi-invisible, the surprisingly agile Hai-uri can leap over clumps of scrub in its pursuit of human prey. Tikdoshe, the malevolent dwarf of Zulu tradition, had a similar anatomy, and takes delight in fighting men. Defeat means death, but victory can mean the acquisition of magic, since Tikdoshe will offer to show the victor ‘lots of medicines’.
