Chiminigagua
Chiminigagua AmericaThe creator deity of the Chibcha culture in Colombia. Having made large black birds, which carried light over the mountain peaks, Chiminigagua left the rest of creation to others. The goddess Bachue, ‘large-breasted’, was the mother of mankind, the father being her son. Their cosmic task fulfilled, they returned to the sacred lakes as serpents.
