Baiame
Baiame OceaniaThe totemic ancestor of the Kamilaroi tribe of New South Wales. An ancient sky god and ‘father of all things’, Baiame was master of life and death—the archetypal medicine-man. He invented the stone fish trap and he answers invocations for rain, while his favourite wife, Birrahgnooloo, sends floods on request.
