The Story:
Polixenes, the king of Bohemia, was the guest of Leontes, the king of Sicilia. The two men had been friends since boyhood, and there was much celebrating and joyousness during the visit. At last Polixenes decided that he must return to his home country. Leontes urged him to extend his visit, but Polixenes refused, saying that he had not seen his young son for a long time.
