Williams College
Traditions
- Class Banners
Each class designs a banner that will represent them while at school and at reunions in the future.
- Ivy Planting
At graduation, a member of the graduating class plants ivy next to a wall or a building.
- The Mountains
The College alma mater, composed by Williams graduate Washington Gladden, puts the setting of Williams into words.
- Watch Dropping
Also at graduation, a watch is dropped from the top of the college chapel. If the watch breaks, the graduating class will be lucky.
