Topic:   I have an old figure table lamp of William Shakespeare. It's  brass  that has been painted. with  books and a pen that is part of the figure.

Just wondering if anyone knows how old this lamp might be and who made them as there are no makers mark on it.

Have you considered taking this to your local antiquities dealer?  Or perhaps an expert in art at the local university?  I have included some websites that may be helpful in identifying your piece.  Good Luck!

I agree that you should take it a historical antiques dealer.  There appear to be many in the Yellow Pages and even on-line.
