Vercingetorix
Vercingetorix (died 46 BC )King of the tribe of the Averni in Gaul. Towards the end of the Gallic wars in 52 BC he revolted against Roman occupation and was acclaimed king of the united Gauls. Defeated and captured, he was finally paraded through Rome as a trophy in Caesar 's triumph ( 46 BC ) and then executed.
