Narva, Battle of

Narva, Battle of ( 30 November 1700 )
The crushing defeat of Peter I (the Great) of Russia by Charles XII of Sweden at the beginning of the Northern War at the port of Narva, in Estonia. In 1704 Peter the Great recovered the town.
