Darnley, Henry Stuart, Lord
Darnley, Henry Stuart, Lord ( 1545 – 67 )Anglo-Scottish aristocrat, second husband of Mary, Queen of Scots . After their union in 1565 , Mary produced a son, the future James VI of Scotland and James I of England . Mary's reliance on her secretary David Rizzio (who may have been her lover) led Darnley to murder him. Darnley was subsequently murdered in a conspiracy involving the Earl of Bothwell .
