Calles, Plutarco Eliás
Calles, Plutarco Eliás ( 1877 – 1945 )Mexican statesman. He achieved prominence as a military leader during the Mexican Revolution ( 1910 – 40 ). As President of Mexico ( 1924 – 28 ), Calles implemented Mexico's constitution ( 1917 ) by supporting agrarian reform, organized labour, economic nationalism, and education.
