Cade, John
Cade, John (known as ‘Jack’ ) (died 1450 )Irish rebel. In 1450 he assumed the name of Mortimer and led the Kentish rebels against Henry VI . They occupied London for three days and executed both the treasurer of England and the sheriff of Kent. When many of the rebels accepted an offer of pardon, Cade fled, but died of a wound received in an attempt to capture him.
