Posted by strengthandhonor on Tuesday January 13, 2009 at 5:32 PMIn general, plebes (freshman) all go through the same courses all the way until they select their majors yuk year (sophomore year). Pending academic validation by means of either acing the validation examinations plebes take during Beast Barracks, and/or exception AP scores, plebes will take the following course sequence:
MA103 (Math Modeling), Ch101 (General Chemistry), a U.S History course or a Western Civilizations History course, IT105 (information technology), PE150 (Fundamentals of Fitness/Health), MA104 (Calculus), PL100 (Psychology), EN101 (Composition), EN102(Literature), Boxing, and MS100 (Intro to Warfighting).
The courses are not necessarily too difficult, but the workload is intense, with all plebes taking more course hours than most of their counterparts in civilian colleges around the country.
