Eliot has been known for his calling for "objective correlative" in criticizing literary works which means that he insists on objectivity rather than subjectivity. Don't you think that he is subjective In The Waste Land? You can sense his pessimism and self depression as you read. Also it is so obvious that he was effected by the historical events that were taking place at his time (WWI). Posted by zahraamousawe on Feb 14, 2009. |
