Stephen King's The Night Flier ★★ The Night Flier 1996 (R) Portrays blood-sucking beings that prey upon the weakness of mortal men in order to survive. And besides tabloid journalists, there's vampires in it, too! Richard Dees (Ferrer) is a reporter/photographer for a National Enquirer-like paper who is not above staging lurid photos to grab Page One. His editor pits him in a contest with rookie papparazzo Katherine (Entwistle) for a story about a murderer who wears a black cape and tricorn hat, flies into small airports in a sinister black plane and drains his victims' blood. Dees follows the killer's trail in his own plane, stopping to ruthlessly grill survivors and doctor up a few pictures. Genuinely spooky showdown will leave only one monster standing. Who is it? Inquiring minds want to know. 97m/C VHS, DVD. Michael H. Moss, Miguel Ferrer, Julie Entwisle, Dan Monahan, John Bennes, Beverly Skinner, Rob Wilds, Richard Olsen, Elizabeth McCormick;
