Postcards from the Edge ★★★½ 1990 (R) Fisher adapted her best-selling novel, tamed and tempered, for the big screen with a tour-deforce of talent. Streep very fine as a delightfully harried actress struggling with her career, her drug dependence, and her competitive, overwhelming show-biz mother.
