Oliver Twist (1933)
Oliver Twist ★★ 1933 The first talking version of Dickens's classic about an ill-treated London orphan involved with youthful gang of pickpockets. Moore was too young—at seven—to be very credible in the lead role. The 1948 version is much more believable. 70m/B VHS. Dickie Moore, Irving Pichel, William "Stage" Boyd, Barbara Kent; Director: William J. Cowen.
