Mindstorm ★★½ 2001 (R) The plot has holes big enough to fly a helicopter through but the action keeps things from being boring. Psychic private eye Tracy Wellman (Vaugier) is hired to free Senator Armitage's (Ironside) daughter from the clutches of cult leader David Mendez (a prototypically evil Roberts) and is aided by FBI hunk Dan Oliver (Sabato). Turns out that Mendez and Wellman have a past together—they're both telepaths as the result of a government mind control experiment when they were children—a project headed by Armitage. 106m/C VHS, DVD.
