Daddy & Them ★½ 1999 (R) Part romance, part dysfunctional family comedy, Thornton's followup to "Sling Blade" is set in Little Rock, Arkansas. Claude (Thornton) and wife Ruby (Dern) decide to head back home after they learn that Claude's Uncle Hazel (Varney) is in jail, convicted of a petty crime.
