D.A.R.Y.L. ★★ 1985 (PG) The little boy found by the side of the road is too polite, too honest and too smart. His friend explains to him the necessity of imperfection (If you don't want the grown-ups to bother you too much) and he begins to become more like a real little boy. But the American military has a top-secret interest in this child, since he is in fact the combination of a cloned body and a computer brain. More interesting when it's involved with the human beings and less so when it focuses on science. 100m/C VHS. Mary Beth Hurt, Michael McKean, Barret Oliver, Colleen Camp, Danny Corkill; Director: Simon Wincer; Writer: David Ambrose, Allan Scott; Cameo: Marvin Hamlisch.
