Barry Lyndon ★★★½ 1975 (PG) Ravishing adaptation of the classic Thackeray novel about the adventures of an Irish gambler moving from innocence to self-destructive arrogance in the aristocracy of 18th Century England. Visually opulent. Kubrick received excellent performances from all his actors, and a stunning display of history, but the end result still overwhelms. O'Neal has seldom been better. 185m/C VHS, DVD, Wide. Ryan O'Neal, Marisa Berenson, Patrick Magee, Hardy Kruger, Guy Hamilton;
