    Yes, Vandy has a thriving Greek Community.  There are 15 sororities and 22 fraternities.  43% of the entire population is Greek.  52% of women are Greek, and 32% of men.  The Greek community is open to everyone, and you can definitely be independent and have a great experience at Vanderbilt.  Greek organizations all have philanthropies they raise money for and well and great leadership opportunities.
