Question:
Is your likelihood of admittance to Madison greater if you declaree a major on your application (my mom says that it is)?
NOTE*** THE APPLICATION FEE FOR MADISON IS $44, not $35 as it says on this site

I don't know if the likelihood to acceptance to Madison increases with a major declaration, but it seems that any institution would find that a sign that you had some direction with what you wanted to do with your education. Institutions know that you are also likely to change that major in your first year. Don't choose "just anything" to fill the quota. Really think about what you like, what you've enjoyed learning in high school and what motivates you to find out more about the world around you. Take those answers and find a major that matches. Good Luck!
