Are students very social? Is there an active social scene open to students? Does the school have a reputation as a party school?

I would not say that the UW is a party school. You can make it a party school by being involved in the Greek system. You can do this by joining or just partying with them every weekend. I would say that the vibe of the students is an academic one. Partying is not necessarily the first thing on everyone's mind, but I do think we all get out every now and then. There is so much to do in the area and downtown that everyone has a place to have fun. Events are always going on on and off-campus. Keep your eye out for posters of shows and movies showing in the area!
