Did You Know?

The University of Texas tower is 307 feet tall, and with the main building, was built in the 1930s to house the University library.

The Tower's Knicker Carillon, the largest carillon in Texas, is made up of 56 bells.

The diameter of each clock face on the Tower, measured to the outside of the gold rim, is 14 feet, eight inches.

The Tower clock was first set into motion in 1936.

The Tower is constructed of Bedford Indiana Limestone.
