At the University of Tennessee we offer a phenomenal health care system which includes both mental and physical health. We are a university fortunate enough to have four excellent hospitals within walking distance of the University. One of which, the UT Medical Center is where students would go for after hours or emergency care. The university offers transportation to and from the medical center and it functions at top performance in all major areas of operations.

The University Health Clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They offer a variety of services including women's health, vaccinations, mental health, primary care, physical therapists; X ray's and blood work, and also is available to continue prescriptions or monitored health care that you had before you entered the University. Most services are free with only small charges for blood work or prescriptions. If you are of low income they can help you receive medications for little or no charge at all.

Personal counseling services are offered through the UT Counseling center. They are available with walk in hours and appointment hours. No fees are charged unless you are having an ADHD assessment. They have a fantastic staff and are available for everything from homework stress to marriage counseling. They also work closely with the mental health staff at the University Health Clinic to ensure that you are being treated on all levels.
