Tips to Succeed at UT

Do not let the surrounding environment, which is often carefree and fun-loving, distract you from your goal of obtaining a degree. Not to frighten you, but there will be many faces disappearing the following year because they did not take grades seriously. It is important that you put the time into learning class material so you can get good grades. Those who do not make academics a priority either will not return next year or will not be accepted into their major.

Take it upon yourself to become acquainted with your graduation requirements, and take your four-year academic plan very seriously. The ultimate goal of a college education is be able get a return on an investment, meaning you will be able to start a successful career and utilize your skills.
