While almost every student at USF owns some article of clothing bearing the USF logo, school spirit is practically nonexistent. Part of this comes from USF students being regarded as the snobs of the city, according to the other universities in San Francisco. Another part of this comes from the city itself. While San Francisco is one of the best things about USF, it is also one of the worst. All the incentives to leave campus end up dividing the students, who rarely mingle with each other unless they live in the dorms or are required to meet for a group project. Also, USF has few traditions or large-scale events to increase school spirit. Most students are enthusiastic about their respective interests, but other than that, graduation is the only time when everyone comes together to celebrate.
