As long as all housing applications and deposit deadlines are met on time each year, this guarantee continues for three years.
The freshmen residence halls are: Litchfield Towers (A, B, C), Sutherland Hall, Holland Hall, Lothrop Hall and Forbes Hall (Honors College students only). Detailed descriptions of these are found on the Panther Central website (linked below). Freshmen housing is quite good, especially compared to other schools, but upperclassmen housing cannot be beat (check out Panther Hall, Pennsylvania Hall, and the apartment-style Bouquet Gardens and Ruskin Hall)!
Freshmen fill out a survey describing their study, sleep and living habits, plus personal preferences of which residence hall they would prefer. These are used to determine roommate assignments, which for the most part are very successful! If a freshman would like to request a specific roommate, this is possible as long as both roommates request each other.
