What is life like on campus? Does a lot of social activity take place on campus? Are there a lot of campus activities? How is campus dining? Posted by enotes on Aug 28, 2008. |

I attended UNC-Wilmington for my BA and MA and it was a wonderful campus. UNC-W has many, many social organizations and clubs, sororities and fraternities, etc. It is extremely active. When I attended, campus dining was good; however, so many people live off-campus that when I attended, not many students utilized on-campus dining. Now, since they have built more dormitories, I am sure more students use it. Posted by kwoo1213 on Aug 28, 2008. |

I got my master's at UNC-Chapel Hill in the early 1980s. Back then, Dean Smith was still the basketball coach and the Tarheels were always in the top 5. In fact, the year I finished was the year of the shocking upset of UNC by NC State. You could have heard a pin drop on campus that night. I haven't been back since I graduated, but I can tell you that Chapel Hill is a university town. That is, the town would be just a little village without the university. You'll never need to eat on campus because there are so many little restaurants and cafes around. I lived in the graduate student dorm and had my own refrigerator and toaster oven. Nowadays, of course, you can have a microwave and other things. I loved the time I spent at Carolina and count it as a special time in my life. Check out what's available on campus at http://carolinaunion.unc.edu/ or at the home page www.unc.edu.
