Every student, even those who pretend to be devoid of any school spirit, is proud to be a Tar Heel. Because sports have such an impact on the Carolina culture, it's hard not to have any school spirit. Carolina apparel is a must at UNC. Students wear their powder blue T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, shorts, wind pants, and hats religiously to classes and sporting events. Furthermore, if the basketball or football team wins a game, then there's likely to be a hot party afterward. UNC students are known to rush Franklin Street after a big win.
