There is always something to do at Ole Miss and within the Oxford Community. The Student Programming Board is always finding new ways for the students to get involved or just have fun. On Thursdays and Fridays nights, they show a movie that has yet not been released yet either in the Grove or at the Turner center. Later on in December they host the lighting of the Christmas tree and ice skating free to all students along with tons of free food. This past October they were responsible for bringing Blues Traveler to campus for a live and FREE concert, and Soulja Boy and The Zach Brown Band was here in April 2009. The Night Life is also excellent, with 18 bars in one square mile. Some host big name artist like Modest Mouse, Black Crowes, and Andrew Bird. Posted by mmlitten on Nov 18, 2009. |
