CRISP

This is an acronym for Course Registration Involving Student Participation. It means registering for classes online.

The Diag

The center of Central Campus; it is the crossroads of campus, bordered by the Grad Library, Mason and Haven Halls, and beautiful lawns full of trees.

Entrée Plus

Money that is stored on your M-Card that can be used at restaurants in campus buildings such as the Michigan Union.

Festifall

An event at the beginning of fall semester each year where nearly all of the 900 student organizations set up a table on and around the Diag soliciting new members and involvement; this is a great way to join groups and clubs.

Fishbowl

The Angell Hall computing site.

Group Homework

You'll most likely encounter this first in your calculus class, where certain problems are done in groups and due weekly.

Hash Bash

This happens one Saturday each April. Thousands of students and pot-heads from around the region come to Ann Arbor to celebrate marijuana. Part protest, part festival; it's a sight to be seen.

The Hill

This is a section of campus that houses the majority of first-year students. Residence halls here include Couzens, Alice Lloyd, Markely, Mosher-Jordan (Mo-Jo), and Stockwell.

Maize Craze

The student section at men's basketball games in Crisler arena; students have the best seats in the house and wear maize-colored T-shirts.

Naked Mile

A tradition started by the men's crew team years ago, which involves naked students running through campus on the night of the last day of classes each spring.

Pre-Party

The act of partying before going out to the bars; or, it can be an party before a home football game.

The Rock

This is a giant rock on the corner of Washtenaw and Hill street that is painted practically every night of the year by one group or another for birthdays and other events.
