Students Speak Out On Overall Experience

“UMass is a great school. I definitely feel as though I got my money's worth. Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it. The people here are all right, and the teachers are really good. I went on exchange my junior year and had such a great time, and all for the same price you pay at UMass. I highly recommend that everyone exercise their option of going on exchange at some point. And if you do, look for a school that compliments UMass by providing things that UMass doesn't or can't. Over all, I am glad that I went to school here, even though my parents couldn't find me at my graduation because there were so many people.”

“It's hard for me to say what my overall experience was at UMass. I absolutely loved it as a freshman, but I was really sick last year, so I associate some bad things with being there. Just the same, I had a ton of fun and met a lot of amazing people. I am genuinely sad to leave. Right now, things at UMass are a little uncertain because of budget cuts, but they're expected to be smoothed out within the next couple of years. In the meantime, getting into classes will probably be a huge pain. You should make sure the major you are interested in is not slated to be cut if the budget cuts continue.”
