Posted by awilliams08 on Thursday September 18, 2008 at 8:34 PMThere's definitely plenty of recreational activities available at UF. There are three main rec centers across campus, many close to most of the main dorms. They offer a variety of classes including cycling, swimming, raquetball, group fitness, etc.

Posted by akipocky on Friday September 19, 2008 at 9:48 AMThere are a lot. Not only are there two recreational and sports centers on campus, within them they offer many fun classes and facilities for the students. One thing that is also really big is the Intramural Sports. Any students can participate in them, they're basically tournaments for different sports and you compete against different student teams. You can create your own team or just join one. Very fun! :)

Posted by bgl5704 on Monday September 22, 2008 at 9:30 PMRecreational facilities are everywhere at UF. There are gyms, pools, basketball courts, tracks, tennis courts, ICE HOCKEY RINK, half pipes, empty fields for football, soccer, racquetball and the list goes on. What about off-campus? Southwest Rec is the gym to be at no matter if you are running or shooting hoops: it has it all. Another recreational facility is Lake walhburg: go canoeing, kayaking or just chill. These are all facilities free to UF students and guests.

Posted by rlendensky on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 12:18 PMUniversity of Florida offers a wide variety of recreational facilities such as gyms and sports clubs. For instance Southwest Gym is the largest and nicest gym on campus. It is even open till one o'clock in the morning on weekends. Racquet club is also a very large recreational center with a gym, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and other facilities. There is also a pool facility at UF, but I don't think its necessarily open to the public. Southwest, Racquet club, and RecSports in general offer a variety of intramural sports from basketball and volleyball to flag football and badminton.

Posted by flpat89 on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 2:06 PMUF has every recreational facility you can imagine. At the Southwest Recreational Facility there are 8 basketball courts, a fully-equipped gym, an automated rock wall, and racquetball courts. Just outside of "Southwest," there are 4 beach volleyball courts and 8 tennis courts. Around the corner from "Southwest" are full-sized soccer and flag-football fields. The Racquet Club has one basketball court, a gym, racquetball courts, and yoga and power classes. There is a recreational facility across from Broward Hall which is generally referred to as "Broward." It has 4 full basketball courts, street hockey rings, and a skate park.
