Posted by bgl5704 on Monday September 22, 2008 at 9:35 PMYes, UF has a free clinic called the infirmary in which students may attend. However, this is just general health care. If you are really sick such as: need surgery they will not do it for free. However if you do get into some nasty business the University has a very good relationship with SHANDS hospital and if you show that you are poor they would most likely take away your entire medical bill. But if you are just coughing and want some remedies UF clinic is the place to be they even give out free gatorade if you get there early.

Posted by akipocky on Monday September 29, 2008 at 8:20 AMHello there! Yes health services are available as bgl5704 already answered that part of the question. Personal counseling are also available in various types such as individual & couples counseling, career counseling, crisis counseling, women, homosexual, anxiety, and so much more! They are all confidential as well so you do not have to worry about confidentiality problems. I attached the link below for more info or if you want to make appointments there is the contact info. Hope this helps!

Posted by rlendensky on Saturday December 6, 2008 at 12:09 PMYes, there is an infirmary on campus which actually can prescribe medicine and gives you a free prescription to Publix pharmacy. They also have a mental health clinic in the same building, I have never personally been there but I'm sure they are more than helpful.
Students can also get career counseling as well. They can go to the academic advisors in the Academic Advisory building and they are also very helpful.
