Many students do study abroad. Personally most of my close friends have gone study abroad. Different colleges offer different study abroad opportunities and programs, so it's very likely that you will find one that fits your need and likings. There are also study abroad fairs on campus where all the different programs come out to showcase. Studying abroad will give you a great experience, so I highly recommend it!

UF is a really active school when it comes to studying abroad. There are an abundance of programs that render students opportunities to study in many countries around the world. The length of these study abroads vary in length. Some range from a 1 week spring break study abroad to a full length year. Studying abroad is a great way to broaden your horizons while you are still in school and learn more about other cultures. If students have enough money they would usually take advantage of these amazing opportunities.

Studying abroad seems to be a pretty common practice here at the University of Florida. I would say a larger percent of students at this university choose to study abroad than at most universities this size. However, studying abroad is very expensive, if you are planning to do so plan on spending at least thirteen to fourteen thousand dollars on the semester in which you are studying abroad. University of Florida requires some students to stay for one summer semester, so if you intend on studying abroad I would suggest doing it during the summer so you can get credit in the summer and not fall behind on credits in the fall or spring.
