Are students very social? Is there an active social scene open to students? Does the school have a reputation as a party school?

Yes UF students are extremely social. I'm not sure if you have heard this yet, but UF is officially the #1 party school in the nation. Not only are students extremely social outside of school, but we are very social on campus also. There are many social clubs and activities you can find in the school that will match your interest! :) You will have a good time at UF.

On top of the ever social Greek life, University of Florida's campus in general is a social scene in itself. From activities at Norman Field to gathering in Turlington square, there are students simply waiting to meet new people.

Clubs such as student government and freshman leadership council help reach out to other freshman in order to better introduce them to each other.

Greek life is absolutely the most social part of the social scene at University of Florida. From hosting parties, to philantropies and socials, to having pregames before going to a club downtown, a fraternity house is always filled to capacity with people. I'd consider Greek life if I were you, but just remember its all about finding your niche and where you belong.
