What is the environment like off-campus? Do students venture off-campus frequently?

Hi there! Students definitely venture off campus if they have extra time or free blocks in between classes. There are many places such as restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, smoothies, ice cream, etc. that you can go right across the street or very near the campus (within walking distance). If you don't have much time to go off campus, there are also many nice food/snack places or good hang-out spots on campus too! :)

Off campus life is just as active as living on campus. Of course certain apartment complexes are much more social than others. For instance Jefferson and 2nd is a very social apartment complex whereas something like University Heights is not as social. There are also off campus dorms which are very social.

As far as off campus social scene goes, every Thursday and Saturday night downtown is bustling with clubs and restaurants to eat and hang out at, where Friday nights are where midtown makes most of its money,

In addition to my previous post, on top of the clubs and bars located downtown there is also a slew of fraternity houses loated just off campus. Phi Delt (Phi Delta Theta), ATO (Alpha Tau Omega), and ZBT (Zeta Beta Tau) are both located just off of SW 13th Street, while fraternities like DTD (or Delta Tau Delta) and Delta Upsilon are located on University Avenue. On most weekends, especially those during which there is a football game, these are hot spots.
