I certainly do recommend coming for summer. I made the mistake of not coming for the summer of my freshman year but everyone I know who came for a summer session wants to come for another. Summer schedules are usually very relaxed, most students only take 3 to 6 credits (the equivalent of one or two classes) so summer is very social and most students go out a majority of the time. All in all, summer is a great time to go out and meet people, and it is a great time to understand what at UF you would like to get involved in, be it club promotion or greek life or even clubs on campus.
