What is the environment like off-campus? Do students venture off-campus frequently?

The campus is located in an area where once you leave there isnt much to see or do, if you dont have a car then you are pretty much stuck. The closest town is about 15 minutes from campus and in it is a small strip mall, a movie theatre and a couple gas stations and restaraunts. Most students stay on campus throughout the semester, maybe venturing out to walmart but other than that all there is to do is go home. Luckily the campus is so large that there is always something going on. There are over 250 campus organizations and the school has a hugh athletic program. Concerts and things are always going on and you can always find something fun to do.
