University of Connecticut
UConn Urban Legends
The students are almost positive this one's true—supposedly, the dining service's special ingredient in all the dining hall food is a laxative. This is done to . . . well, you know. It's usually left known but unspoken, though every now and then it turns up as the butt end of a joke (no pun intended).
There have been many real Jonathan dogs that represent the school's mascot. Legend says that a few of the past ones are buried in a flower garden that welcomes students to the school.
It is rumored that an approximate 60 percent of UConn's student body has the sexually transmitted disease HPV.
